The Floaty Ring is a key item in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is a swim ring needed for a Concordian on the upper level to swim in Club Dyode's pool.

Mario and Luigi arrive on Jellyfish Island in search of Adaphne, but they find her asleep on a Floaty Ring in the pool, to the annoyance of one of the club's staff. They head for the refreshment stand, where they meet the man in charge of renting Floaty Rings. He complains to them about his job, to which the Mario Bros. say they understand, and the man returns to his job. He gives the two a Floaty Ring, which they carry to a Concordian on the upper level who wants to jump into the pool. The impact from the jump launches Adaphne upward, waking her up and surprising her as she lands on the ground nearby.
